When Ebony's parents learned of her illness, after an initial moment of sadness, they decided that their only goal would be to fight for their little girl's survival.<\/b><\/p>\n
Even though the daily management of the disease brought great difficulties with work,<\/b>the father and mother together managed to cope with the situation, strong in their goal. The main problem was the cost of treatment<\/b> for which every month the family had to be able to put aside substantial sums to buy medicines and carry out the necessary checks to monitor the disease.<\/p>\n
Fortunately, the family got in touch with our partner Una Voce per Padre Pio<\/b> who works in the area and launched a Medical Health program for minors with various heart conditions. Having realized that Ebony could not receive the care she needed in Ivory Coast<\/b>, they began organizing to secure the little girl\u2019s future through an operation in Italy.<\/p>\n
Ebony's parents have finally found hope<\/b>; in a few days Una Voce per Padre Pio collected the necessary documentation, and, once the case was submitted, in a few hours the acceptance by our Scientific Committee arrived: Ebony can fly to Italy with her mother to undergo the surgery to correct her congenital heart disease.<\/b>
