MEDICAL TEAMS

  • Finance the flights of medical teams to reach countries where it is necessary to operate on children in serious health emergencies, while at the same time identifying, through screening activities, specific cases that, due to the severity of the disease and the unavailability of adequate medical equipment and instruments on site, require highly specialized intervention to be carried out at specific hospitals, in Italy or in another Country..

  • Organize and finance the flight of children identified through the screening activity of medical teams, in order to guarantee their hospitalization in compliance with the times and needs of care.

Information notice on personal data processing

Pursuant to art. 13 of Regulation 2016/679 / EU (GDPR) and of National Data Privacy Legislation

Dear Sir / Madam, pursuant to art. 13 GDPR and the national privacy legislation in force on the subject, we hereby provide you with the following information:

1. 2. Data Protection Officer can be contacted by sending an e-mail to privacy@flyingangels.it;

3. Processing of donor's personal data is carried out for the pursuit of the following purpose:
a) send informative material to always be updated on the projects, initiatives, events and above all the stories of the children and missions of Data Controller, by collecting and processing personal and contact data. All the above communications will be sent by e-mail or SMS and/or by phone call if the User has entered his/her telephone number;
b) receive the possible donation and proceed with the consequent processing of payment and accounting data, by collecting and processing personal data, contact details and bank details;
c) send any report of the project / initiative / events that have been subsidised; d) propose initiatives, services and products, customized studied and designed.
To study better services and products closer to your interests, individual data such as date of birth, place of residence and/or donor behavior are used.

4. The provision of the aforementioned personal data is optional, but essential for the pursuit of the purposes listed above.
Lawful basis for the purposes referred to in letters b) and c) of point 3 is the execution of a contract (Article 6, paragraph 1, letter b) of the GDPR); for the purposes referred to in letter a) of the aforementioned point, in the case of non-donor Interested parties, it is the consent (Article 6, paragraph 1 letter a) GDPR), which can be revoked at any time.
When the interested party becomes a donor, the lawful basis for the purposes referred to in letter a) of the point above is the legitimate interest of the Data Controller in sending information material on projects and initiatives similar to those in which he participated (Article 6, paragraph 1, letter f) GDPR), notwithstanding the possibility for the Interested to exercise the right of opposition at any time.
Finally, the lawful basis for the purposes referred to in point 3 lett. d) consists in the consent of the interested party (Article 6, paragraph 1, letter a) of the GDPR).

5. Personal data may be disclosed to the following authorized parties or external executives:
- police forces and judicial authorities, according to law;
- data processor external executives and persons authorized to processing under the direct authority of Data Controller or external executive.

6. Personal data are collected directly by Data Controller from the interested party. Data will be processed in compliance with principles of lawfulness, correctness and transparency. The processing is carried out through the following operations: collection, registration, organization, structuring, conservation, consultation, adaptation or modification, use, communication, extraction, comparison, interconnection, limitation, cancellation and destruction of data. Personal data are processed on paper or electronic media, with the adoption of every technical and organizational measure appropriate to ensure their security.
7. Personal data will be kept for 10 years from the last donation for the purposes referred to in lett. b) and c); for the purposes referred to in lett. a) the data will be kept for 2 years from collection, for non-donor interested parties, that is 5 years from the last donation, for interested donors; for the purposes referred to in lett. d) the data will be kept for 5 years from the last contact. Subsequently, data will be deleted or otherwise made anonymous
8. Data Controller does not transfer personal data outside the EU.

9. As an interested party in the data processing, you are entitled to the rights referred to in Articles. 15 - 22 GDPR and more precisely: access to your personal data, data correction or cancellation or limitation of processing, right to oppose the processing, in addition to data portability. Finally, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Supervisory Authority pursuant to art. 77 GDPR. Our goals

For the three-year period 2025-2027 Flying Angels plans to organize and finance the flight of at least 12 medical teams, who will travel abroad, and presumably 120/150 children (with a parent or legal guardian) to be accompanied to Italy or to another Country where the will find help.

Why ongoing support is essential

Thanks to the project “R-Evolving wings. Medical care beyond borders” it will be possible to plan, with evident optimization of time and costs, the missions of several medical teams and the consequent transfer to Italy of some young patients, respecting the urgency of intervention and the availability of the health facilities involved on site, in Italy or in the world.

Continuous support allows Fying Angels to plan more resources both in the number of missions to finance and in the number of children to bring to the hospital for the specific route. Depending on the distances, in fact, there are corresponding price ranges for airline tickets. Knowing in advance the origin and the destination of the children and the resources available, it is possible to know how many flights it will be possible to finance.

"R-Evolving wings. Medical care beyond borders” is born from experience and dialogue. The project aims to finance the greatest possible number of missions in the first part of the year – when requests for flights, especially to Italy, are lower because regional funds for the hospitalization of non-EU patients have not yet been released – and, subsequently, to provide an ever greater response to requests for flights to Italy for children who were identified through screening during the mission but, due to the severity of their pathology, were unable to receive treatment in their country. A streamlining of processes that is essential to achieving the most important result: helping more and more children.

The project was welcomed with enthusiasm by the Partners and has already led to organizing and financing some flights of the doctors of the first mission and saving 21 children in Cameroon together with the Association Una Voce per Padre Pio. Now we can't wait to bring the children who were unable to receive treatment during the mission towards a new hope.

The mission just concluded allowed us to save 21 lives: 21 children benefited from life-saving surgical interventions, a record that looks more like a miracle if you consider that these numbers were achieved in just 5 and a half days in the operating room. The cooperation between the Italian team and the local team was wonderful; a synergic and fruitful team effort that looked, solely, at achieving the common goal: Giving an opportunity to the Less fortunate!

Flying Angels Foundation is a non-profit organization that specializes in airlifting seriously ill children who require life-saving care that is unavailable in their home countries.

Flying Angels Foundation assists children from all over the world who need delicate specialist care: it buys for them and their families the airline tickets needed to quickly reach the most suitable hospital facilities or finances the flight of specialized medical teams who can handle multiple medical cases together directly on site. It collaborates continuously with important humanitarian organizations that report the most urgent situations and with numerous doctors from the main Italian pediatric hospitals. For very serious clinical situations, for which a flight on a scheduled airplane is impossible, airplanes with medical equipment and dedicated health personnel are used to assist the little ones in flight. If necessary, the Foundation provides its support for the bureaucratic procedures required by Italian consular offices around the world, opening contacts and providing the necessary documentation for issuing visas.

Agevolazioni fiscali

La tua generosità è ripagata dallo Stato italiano!
È possibile, infatti, detrarre e/o dedurre le donazioni effettuate (erogazioni liberali) a favore di Flying Angels Foundation nei limiti e con le norme stabilite per legge. Le agevolazioni (detrazione/deduzione) non sono tra loro cumulabili e sono consentite solo se il versamento è tracciabile, quindi eseguito tramite bollettino postale, bonifico, pagamento online, assegno bancario o altri sistemi che ne garantiscano la tracciabilità (art. 23 del D.Lgs. del 1997, n. 241).
In quanto persona fisica puoi:

  • DETRARRE dall’imposta lorda il 30% dell’importo donato, fino a un massimo di 30.000* euro (art. 83, comma 1 del D.Lgs. 3 luglio 2017, n. 117);
  • DEDURRE dal tuo reddito complessivo netto le donazioni in denaro per un importo non superiore al 10% del reddito complessivo dichiarato (art. 83, comma 2 del D.Lgs. 3 luglio 2017, n. 117).
